Warranty and Care Instructions

Congratulations on purchasing a CampTRAX product. Please take note of the following helpful hints so you get  the maximum enjoyment out of your purchase.

CampTRAX offer a 12 month warranty on our trailers for the following :-

  • Metal Chassis
  • Wheels, bearings and mechanical components
  • Tent and canvas products.

Please note this is limited to manufacturing faults only.

Excludes normal wear and tear and/or neglect of product on items such as brakes, tyres, wheel bearings, fasteners, locks and zips outside of design.

Warranty is void if a defect is caused by misuse, neglect, failure to maintain, improper use or accidental damage including modifications or changes to any product in any way.

Before Use – We recommend you “weather or season” your canvas. This will close up the stitching holes and create a tighter weave. See below for “The weathering process”

After Use – Set  your product up and hose down any dirt, animal droppings, tree sap etc. using clean, cold water.  Canvas that has been exposed to these elements may require extra attention. A wipe over using warm, mild soapy water and a soft bristled brush followed by rinsing with clean cold water may remove this.

Do not clean with solvents, oil based products or harsh abrasives.

Never scrub any surface. Staining may occur if left unattended.

DO NOT pack away any canvas product that is not completely dry. There is always the risk of mould and mildew damage to materials that are left damp. This includes both roof top models, swags and car awnings.

When not in use store all CampTRAX products in a dry, well ventilated area.

Do not iron. Never apply heat to fabric.

Remember to check and tighten your wheel nuts regularly as they may loosen after the first few kilometers of use.

Avoid using hairsprays, deodorants or fly spray on any fabric or mesh. They can damage and cause staining.

Remove the mattress before “weathering” your swag and always ensure flaps are folded over so moisture cannot run in.

Avoid petrol, diesel, kerosene or similar products.

Always inspect awning’s for broken or loose rivets. Check brackets and rail is secured to car mounting system on each trip.

Never leave car awnings unattended. Avoid windy conditions. Remember it is easier to prevent damage than have to repair it.

Every effort has been made to ensure that the description, specifications and other information in this publication is correct. We reserve the right to modify and make changes.

CampTRAX products are not designed to be used as a permanent dwelling. Continuous exposure to sun light and extreme weather conditions will reduce the life of the fabric.

“The Weathering Process”

New cotton canvas need’s to go through a process called weathering. It’s simple to avoid a soaking through, just put up the tent when rain is forecast and wait for the clouds to open up.. or you can speed up the process and replace the rain with a hose or watering can.

The tent will get wet, some drips will come through but all the cotton fibers in the weave will swell and nestle into each other. The result? A perfectly waterproof tent and one that will give years of good service if it’s looked after.

Some tents will need two or three weathering’s before every last drip is eliminated. Be patient. Those few drips will go unless of course there is a hole somewhere that needs to be fixed!!
