Warranty and Care Instructions

Congratulations on purchasing a CampTRAX product. Please take note of the following helpful hints so you get the maximum enjoyment out of your purchase.

CampTRAX offers a 12 month warranty from the original date of purchase on all products.
Please note our warranty covers manufacturing faults only against defective materials and workmanship.

o Excludes normal wear and tear and/or neglect of products on items such as brakes, tyres, wheel bearings, fasteners, locks, zips and poles outside of design.
o Warranty is void if a defect is caused by misuse, neglect, failure to maintain, improper use, faulty installation or accidental damage including modifications or changes to any product in any way.
o Warranty does not cover transport charges. It is the customer’s responsibility to deliver and pick up products including any costs associated with the repair/replacement of your product or removing and reinstalling.
o Before Use – We recommend you “weather or season” your canvas. This will close up the stitching holes and create a tighter weave. This includes rooftop tents, swags and camper trailers tents
o Remove any mattress before “weathering” your product and always ensure flaps are folded over so moisture cannot run in.
o After Use – Set your product up and hose down any dirt, animal droppings, and tree sap etc. using clean, cold water. Canvas that has been exposed to these elements may require extra attention. A wipe over using warm, mild soapy water and a soft bristled brush followed by rinsing thoroughly with clean cold water may remove this.
o Do not clean with solvents, oil based products or harsh abrasives. Do not dry clean. Do not iron.
o Never scrub any surface although staining may occur if left unattended.
o DO NOT pack away any product that is not completely dry. There is always the risk of mould and mildew damage to materials that are left damp. This includes roof top campers, swags, car awnings and gazebos.
o When not in use store all CampTRAX products in a dry, well ventilated area.
o Never apply heat to fabric. Avoid petrol, diesel, kerosene or similar products.
o Remember to check and tighten your wheel nuts regularly as they may loosen after the first few kilometres of use.
o Avoid using hairsprays, deodorants or fly spray on any fabric or mesh. They can damage and cause staining.
o Always inspect awnings for broken or loose rivets. Check brackets and rail is secured to car mounting system on each trip.

Never leave car awnings unattended. Avoid windy conditions. Remember it is easier to prevent damage than have to repair it. We recommend using 16” sand pegs for beach conditions.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the description, colour/style, specifications and other information in this publication is correct. We reserve the right to modify and make changes. Please ensure you read all instructions before operating.

CampTRAX products are not designed to be used as a permanent dwelling. Continuous exposure to sun light and extreme weather conditions will reduce the life of the fabric.

“The Weathering Process”

New cotton canvas need’s to go through a process called weathering. It’s simple to avoid a soaking through, just put up the tent when rain is forecast and wait for the clouds to open up.. or you can speed up the process and replace the rain with a hose or watering can.

The tent will get wet, some drips will come through but all the cotton fibers in the weave will swell and nestle into each other. The result? A perfectly waterproof tent and one that will give years of good service if it’s looked after.

Some tents will need two or three weathering’s before every last drip is eliminated. Be patient. Those few drips will go unless of course there is a hole somewhere that needs to be fixed!!
